Nature of Work:
Gary's international visits have involved the training of Christian camp leaders. Christian camping as a tool of evangelism and disciplining is growing rapidly around the world. Nationals have the heart for camping but need to develop skills in programming, counselor training, and administration. In 1998, Gary wrote a book of camp lessons combining nature study and the Bible. It was printed in Russian and is currently being translated into Spanish and English.

Explanation for Involvement:
Gary's vocation of nearly 40 years has been Christian camping. Along with his teaching role at George Fox, he believes international training presents an incredible need and door of opportunity.
