The GDCP program is accredited by the American Psychological Association.* The program received a highly favorable review by APA site visitors during the program's 2003-2004 reaccreditation visit; a seven-year reaccreditation period was awarded, the longest reaccreditation interval possible.
One-hundred percent of recent eligible students have been placed at internship sites nationally, more than 90 percent in accredited sites.
More than 94 percent of recent program grads are employed as psychologists and are licensed or working toward licensure.
The program is an active member of the National Association of Schools of Professional Psychology (NCSPP)
Approximately 30 percent of recently enrolled students present at a professional meeting or publish in professional journals before graduation. GDCP faculty publish at levels above the average found at other PsyD programs nationally.
The program's training receives consistently high ratings by external practicum and internship site supervisors. "I wish all our trainees had the background and professional demeanor commonly demonstrated by the GFU clinical psychology students."
When asked to use a 7-point scale (7=high) to rank the accuracy of the statement, "Compared to other interns at my internship site, I received good training," GDCP grads gave an average ranking of 6.1.
