Chemistry Facilities

The chemistry department is housed in the Edwards-Holman Science center, completed in the Fall of 1994. It contains 6 classrooms, 4 biology labs, 3 chemistry labs, a computer lab, an engineering/physics lab, a general science lab, 6 student research labs, 6 instrument rooms, 3 stockrooms, and a greenhouse.
Our laboratories are well equipped for teaching and research with modern instrumentation including:
400 Mhz JEOL Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrophotometer
Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer
High Performance Liquid Chromatograph
Fluorometer
UV/Visible Spectrophotometer
UV/Visible Diode Array Spectrophotometer
