In the beginning and intermediate levels, the courses are distributed this way:

Reading	4 hours
Writing and Grammar	4 hours
Speaking and Listening	4 hours
Freshman Experience (fall); Content Course(spring)	2 hours
Conversation Tutorial	1 hour
Total	15 hours

(plus up to 4 hours of elective courses allowed)

Reading	3 hours
Writing and Grammar	5 hours
Speech	3 hours
Listening and Notetaking	3 hours
Freshman Experience* (fall)	1 hour
Content Course* (Western Civilization to 1648, fall; Principles of Sociology, spring)	3 hours
Conversation Tutorial	1 hour
Total	19 hours (fall)
	or 18 hours (spring)
