Assistant Professor of Communication Arts
Charles Choi joined the university in 2010. He received a doctorate in communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, holds a master’s degree in communication studies from Louisiana State University, and completed his undergraduate work in communication at Biola University.
His classes include Introduction to Communication, Small Group Communication, Communication Theory, Organizational Communication, and Introduction to Public Relations. Charles' research interests are in Intergroup Communication and he has published work analyzing various contexts including, intergenerational, intercultural, and police/civilian interactions.
Charles and his wife enjoy trips to the Oregon coast and spend their time exploring the many hiking trails throughout the region. He also currently serves at Bethel Presbyterian Church.
