Professor Chosho Shikina

Chosho Shikina is assistant professor of Japanese Language, and has been teaching the first, second and third year Japanese language classes since 1992 at George Fox University.


Shikina holds a B.A in English Literature from the University of Okinawa, B.A in Economics from Portland State University, and M.S in International Business Management from Marylhurst University. He also earned the certificate of International Management, specializing in multinational corporation management from the Concordia Graduate School.

His publication includes his textbook, Japanese 101 and Japanese Language ( I ) and ( II ) cassette tapes.

Chosho was raised and lived in Okinawa, Japan for thirty years and has been in the United States for the last thirty years. He continues his interest in cross-cultural education. Chosho and his wife Yasuko enjoy gardening, cooking Japanese food and Japanese folk music.
