Application Requirements

• DEADLINE: Completed applications plus all required documentation due at the Department of Nursing NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON OCTOBER 2.
• All students must submit an application into the nursing major.
• Admission into the nursing major is very competitive.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is REQUIRED FOR SUBMISSION of an application; this includes all transfer courses. NOTE: this minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is not considered when applications are evaluated and reviewed for an admission decision. (See GPA prerequisite requirements)

  In order for admission into the nursing major, the following criteria MUST be met and included with the application:
• Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
• Two Page Personal Statement
• Two letters of reference (at least one must be from an individual not associated with George Fox University)
• Health Certification Requirements
• Transcripts of all college course work (GFU and transfer students)
• CPR Certification
• Criminal Background Check
• Mandatory Drug Testing
