Marcella Gowan

Marcella Gowan, who was adjunct faculty in the spring of 2006, will return in August 2007 as full time faculty.  Prior to her arrival Gowan served as missionary nurse-midwife for twenty years.  Her teaching experience has been in many countries and at many levels from, bare foot doctors and traditional birth attendants to university and post graduate students.

Gowan holds a master’s degree from Loma Linda California, a bachelor of science in  nursing from Walla Walla College and a post graduate certificate as a nurse midwife from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky.
