Carla Hagen arrived at George Fox in August of 2006. Since 2005, she had been an education consultant in gerontology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Prior to that, Hagen was involved in nursing research related to family caregiving of elders in the home and working in home health nursing administration.
Hagen holds a master of public health, and a bachelor of science in nursing, all from OHSU. She also has a bachelor of science degree in liberal studies from Eastern Oregon University. Previous to her nursing career, she spent five years working in cross-cultural missions in Thailand.
