Nursing Workshop
The 4th Annual George Fox University Department of Nursing Workshop will be held February 17, 2011 from 8:00 – 4:00 pm at Friendsview Retirement Community, 1301 E Fulton, Newberg, OR 97132.
Caring: Transitioning from Pain Management to Comfort Promotion will address the role of the nurse in promoting comfort for the whole person and for the nurse. The objectives of the workshop are:
- Discuss the concept of Comfort Promotion as a framework for enhancing client care and promoting professional nursing practice.
- Identify assessments needed to promote holistic comfort care for clients.
- Review strategies for use in promoting holistic comfort.
- Identify ways to enhance the work environment to support nurse comfort.
