Education
B.A. Religion/Philosophy, Friends University, M.A. Theological Studies, Asbury Theological Seminary, Ph.D. Religion, Baylor University, George Fox University 2003-
I clicked my heels—or something like that—and landed in Oregon! Hailing from Kansas where the wind blows at a near-constant gale, I’m thrilled to be in the Northwest where my husband (Bryan), yellow Labrador Retriever (Pippi), and I have discovered our love of hiking.
This is my sixth year at George Fox University and I am more excited than ever by the thrill of education. I love to read and I love students, so it’s easy to see why I believe this is the best job in the world!
My BA in Religion and Philosophy is from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas; my MA in Theological Studies is from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky; and my Ph.D. in Religion is from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
I’m currently teaching a variety of courses including Christian Foundations, Women and the Bible, and Introduction to World Religions. I look forward to meeting you—in class, in my office where I always have chocolate to share, or on Facebook.
