This is the homepage for the Oriental Institute located at the University of Chicago. It contains information on the museum, current archaeology projects, departments of the Institute, etc. In addition, it offers many links to related sites.

On-Line Bible Study Tools



The BibleGateway
This is an on-line Bible site which allows you to search for individual words or passages from scripture. In addition, there are 12 different languages, and nine different translations of the Bible to search in as well as options to view footnotes and cross-references. The site is a service of Gospel Communications Network located at http://www.gospelcom.net.

Net Bible
This is an on-line search tool that allows you to search any part of the Bible (New English Translation) while providing extensive study notes on each verse. This site is part of a larger site called the Biblical Studies Foundation located at http://www.bible.org/index.htm.

On-Line Bible
This site offers various versions of on-line Bibles that you can download to your personal computer. The basic versions (in both PC and Mac) are free and include a very useful search engine to use with the biblical text.
