Melanie Hulbert, Assistant Professor of Sociology (BA, Western Washington University; MA, Women's Studies Studies, University at Albany, State University of New York; PhD, University at Albany). Melanie specializes in sociology of work and gender issues and family. She also has interest in race/ethnicity themes. Melanie received the Paul Meadow's Teaching Award from the University at Albany. She joined the faculty at GFU in August 2003.

Lisa McMinn, Professor of Sociology (Nursing Degree, Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, Portland, Ore.; BA, George Fox College; MS, Sociology, Portland State University; PhD, Portland State University). Lisa comes to GFU from Wheaton College. She was drawn to sociology through the writings of Tony Campolo and Robert Bellah. Her interests are social change as it relates to globalization, religion, gender, sexuality and the family. Dr. McMinn has published three books. She joined the faculty at GFU in 2006.
