Ed Higgins (Ph.D., Union Institute) is a poet, fiction writer, and essayist with a wide range of writing publications. He also is a part-time farmer who draws much of his writing inspiration from his back-to-the-land experiences. His teaching specialties include fiction writing, science fiction, the contemporary novel, values issues in literature, and dramatic literature.

Sandra Rocha Kaufman (B.F.A., Cal Arts) is a professional costume designer and scenic sculptor who has designed for numerous theatre and opera companies. Sandra manages our costume shop and teaches costume design. In addition to her work at George Fox, she creates garden sculpture which she sells throughout the Portland area.

Jo Lewis (Ed.D., Temple University) has extensive experience as a theatre educator, director, and costume designer. She occasionally skips out of retirement to design costumes for the George Fox University Theatre or teach oral interpretation of literature.
