What do you do at Fox?
Teach the inner and outer workings of the art, history and science of the image making process. I push students to not just look, but to see. See the Light.
When did you start working at Fox?
Art studies (CA, TN); Photo degree (NYI); Professional photographer since 1985. Owned two commercial studios in CA; Taught photo (LA Adult Education, LA Learning Tree University); Currently a full-time commercial photographer and photo consultant as well as photo educator.
What is something you’d like to do in the future?
Teach photography full-time. Another, cross-country motorcycle trip/photo safari. Live on a sailboat with my adventuresome wife.
What is something you’re grateful for, appreciate, encouraged by, or excited about?
Grateful for: Salvation, a wonderful wife and 4 amazing daughters.
Appreciate: Friends and the art faculty.
Encouraged by and excited about: Students with a desire to learn.
I am a Gentleman Farmer (10 sheep, 10 chickens, one llama); I collect and shoot with vintage cameras.
What kind of art do you do?
Photography, of the old and new processes.
