Applying to George Fox
To be admitted to any of the graduate programs, an applicant must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with at least a 3.0 GPA over the last two years of course work. Certain application requirements differ among the graduate programs. An applicant whose cumulative GPA is below this may be considered for admission on academic probation.

Clinical Psychology

School of Behavioral and Health Sciences
Doctor of clinical psychology (PsyD) A five-year program consisting of four years of study and a one-year internship. The program is based on the practitioner-scholar model and emphasizes clinical skills. Accredited by the American Psychological Association, Washington, D.C., 202-336-5979.

Management

School of Management
Doctor of management (DMgt) Designed for individuals who have earned a master's degree and have 10 or more years of professional work experience. The dual-track program includes an executive management track - for organizational leaders in corporations or nonprofit groups - and a management education track, for those interested in teaching, coaching, training, and consulting in an educational or corporate setting.

Master of business administration (MBA) Offered in two formats. The MBA professional track is a 26-month (Portland) or 23-month (Boise) cohort program offering classes one night a week and some Saturdays. The MBA executive track (Portland) is a two-year program scheduled in 24 Friday-to-Saturday blocks, with an online learning community.

Education

School of Education
Doctor of education (EdD) Prepares educators to be leaders in private and K-12 systems and higher education. Offered in cohort model with January and July start dates.

Master of arts in teaching (MAT) An 11-, 16- or 20-month program that prepares K-12 teachers for public and private schools. Daytime and evening and weekend programs are offered.

Master of education (MEd) For educators seeking advanced training. Several specializations offered. Classes are offered evenings, weekends, web-enhanced, and online formats in the fall and spring. Summer classes offered in a concentrated format.

Administrative license programs Prepares students to be leaders in their schools. Initial Administrative License and Continuing Administrator/Initial Superintendent licenses are offered.

Master of arts in counseling (MA) Prepares students to be licensed professional counselors. Includes two semesters of internship.

Master of arts in marriage and family therapy (MA) Prepares students to be licensed marriage and family therapists. Includes two semesters of internship. Also offered as licensure only.

Master of arts in school counseling (MA) Prepares students to obtain an Initial School Counseling License. Includes two semesters of internship. Also offered as licensure only.

Master of science in school psychology (MS) Prepares students to obtain their Initial School Psychology License. Includes two semesters of internship. Also offered as licensure only.

Theological Studies

Doctor of ministry (DMin) The highest professional degree for those in parish or related ministries. It is offered in two tracks: leadership in the emerging culture as well as leadership and spiritual formation.

Master of divinity (MDiv) Prepares students for denominational ordination. Students may concentrate studies in chaplaincy, pastoral studies, biblical studies, Christian ministries, spiritual formation, marriage and family counseling, or Christian history and thought.

Master of arts in theological studies (MATS) Prepares students for doctoral work in the field of theological studies with an emphasis on biblical studies or Christian history and thought.

Master of arts in spiritual formation (MASF) Designed to equip laypersons as spiritual directors or as guides for spiritual formation ministries in church or parachurch organizations.

Master of arts in ministry leadership (MAML) Designed to equip persons in ministry who want theological education, spiritual formation, and professional training.

Certificate in spiritual formation and discipleship Designed for the intentional spiritual formation of students in an academic setting and to train discerning and gifted persons as spiritual guides in the Christian tradition.
