George Fox University | Admissions | Graduate | PsyD | Graduate Record Exam
Frequently Asked Questions About the Graduate Department of Clinical PsychologyHow do I sign up for the GRE tests? We highly encourage students to register to take graduate entrance exams (GRE and PGRE) as early as possible. Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is available on computer at local testing centers. To register, and for more information on both exams, visit the GRE Web site. GRE scores less than five years old are valid. What scores do you require on the GRE? The George Fox University Graduate Department of Clinical Psychology Admission Committee will consider your test scores along with scholastic grades, recommendations, and admission statements in determining acceptance into the program. We would like to see a combined minimum score of at least 1050 for the verbal and quantitative portions of the General GRE test. You will be required to pass the PGRE at the 60th percentile level to receive your MA degree in psychology and proceed into the doctoral portion of the program. You are not required to "pass" the PGRE for admission, but you are required to take it. Do you offer a GRE study course? Every fall we offer a GRE study course through our Career Services department. For more information, e-mail Career Services or call 503-554-2330. |
