Overview
Thank you for your interest in scholarships offered through George Fox University. This page contains information about all scholarships offered to new George Fox students. Prospective students who apply to the university by February 1 are encouraged to attend Scholarship Competition where they have a chance to compete for department specific scholarships. Please see the links at the side for more information about Scholarship Competition and individual scholarships.
Alumni Association Award
Applicants for these scholarships must be traditional undergraduate students who are children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of George Fox alumni (students receiving tuition remission are not eligible). Three Alumni Awards will be given in each class (fr, so, jr, and sr), plus three more "at large." Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. If you have questions about this scholarship please contact the Alumni Relations Office.
Church/University Fellowship Award Program
The university has established a Church/University Fellowship Award Program to partner with churches that offer scholarship programs to help financially support their students who are attending George Fox University. Approval is required and restrictions apply. Program requirements, matching policies, timelines and program application can be found in the Church/University Fellowship Program Application.
Merit Scholarships
Upon acceptance to the University you may qualify for an academic award. Freshman awards range from $6,000 to up to $15,000 per year based on your high school GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. Transfer awards range from $4,000 to up to $6,000 per year based on your cumulative college GPA. All domestic students are encouraged to apply for need-based financial aid by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The PGE Foundation Scholarship Award for Independent Colleges provides scholarship awards to Oregon high school students who wish to attend one of the member colleges of the Oregon Independent College Foundation (OICF). Recipients receive a $2,500 tuition scholarship for their freshman year and may receive renewed awards at the $2,500 level for their second, third, and fourth years, assuming they continue to meet the eligibility requirements. Recipients may receive up to a total of $10,000 over four years. More information about this scholarship will come out in early 2008.

Competitive departmental scholarships are available to incoming students in the leadership, natural sciences, music, drama, art, and forensics programs. These competitive scholarships range from $500 to $2,000 per award. Interviews and auditions for these awards take place on the George Fox University Newberg campus at the annual Scholarship Competition.
