Transfer Policies
If you've completed work at other educational institutions, you may be granted advanced standing after presenting official transcripts. George Fox University will apply the accepted credits toward your general education requirements, electives, and chosen major.
Although specific transfer procedures and policies are outlined in the George Fox University Undergraduate Catalog, some of the policies that most concern transfer students include the following:
- The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree or the Washington Transfer Associate of Arts degree (WTAA) will satisfy all general education requirements except Bible and Religion provided students complete 90 hours of transferable credit graded C or better. The AAOT or WTAA degree may not necessarily meet school, department, or major requirements with regard to courses or GPA.
- Only course work with a grade of C- or better, in a college-level course, will be accepted. (The grade point average does not transfer. Your GPA is computed on work at George Fox University only.)
- A maximum of 64 semester hours (93 quarter hours) may be transferred from an accredited two-year college toward the bachelor's degree.
- You must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours in residence for the bachelor's degree. Twenty hours must be in the senior year.
- A maximum of 15 semester hours (23 quarter hours) of approved correspondence work may be applied toward a degree program.
