Cost of a Quality Education: Priceless

Since childhood, the game of basketball has been Nicole Hudson's passion â?? and her dream was to play at the Division I level. Growing up, sports were a high priority for her. She attended high school in Redmond, Ore., where she was a multi-sport athlete playing soccer, basketball, and softball. Her athleticism earned her first-team all-conference honors for basketball and softball, as well as conference MVP, and first-team all-state recognition for her dedication to basketball.

The Softer Side of David Brandt

Dr. David Brandt, the 11th president of George Fox University, is set to retire June 30 after nearly 40 years in Christian higher education. Since his arrival on campus in 1998, many positive changes have taken place. The campus has grown from a student population of 2,345 to 3,185. We have observed an academic restructuring that included the adoption of the position of provost and the dividing of the university into six schools. And we have watched as 11 undergraduate majors were added to the curriculum.

Womenâ??s Basketball Concludes Another Terrific Season

In 11 years as head coach of the George Fox women's basketball team, Scott Rueck has established the Bruins as one of the most successful programs, not just in the Northwest Conference, but nationally as well. The 2006-07 campaign proved to be another in a long line of outstanding seasons strung together by the Bruins.

The Joy of Serving

I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was packed and ready to head to Lapwai, Idaho, on my first serve trip with George Fox. Nervous doesn't fully describe the feeling in my stomach; terrified is a better description. I was going to live on a Nez Perce Reservation for a week with 18 students who were essentially strangers to me.
