Jack Lyda
Operations manager, SPS-OregonJack came to the School of Professional Studies in 2007 as the first Operations Manager. He has over 20 years of experience in operations and mangement, mostly as an officer and pilot in the Air Force. During that time he was stationed in Mississippi, Texas, North Carolina, Germany, and Denmark. He has also served in Iraq and Bosnia.
Jack enjoys the details of planning orientations and class schedules, assigning instructors and ordering textbooks, and making daily operations run smoothly. He earned a bachelor's degree from George Fox University and a master's degree from American Military University.
Jack and his wife Sandy have two kids, one in the Air Force and the other attending George Fox in Newberg. They enjoy living in the country with their 25 Shetland sheep, 7 chicken, 3 cats and 2 llamas.
