Homecoming Moves to the Fall
After 40 years, George Fox University’s annual Homecoming celebration is moving to the fall, starting in 2011. Look for a completely redesigned weekend of exciting events and reunions October 7-9, 2011. Class reunions will take place for the classes of 2001, 1991, 1986, 1981, 1971, and 1951, while affinity reunions will be head for all biology and chemistry alumni and everyone that participated in University Players. If you would like to be involved in planning any of these reunions, please email alumni@georgefox.edu. As a result of Homecoming’s big move, we’ve also created Bruin Madness taking place Feb. 5 (perhaps you’ve heard about it)!
Women’s Basketball Leads Conference
After almost 36 months and 40 games, the women’s basketball team saw its winning streak against conference opponents snapped at Lewis & Clark on January 7. Still, the Bruins, who were picked to finish first in the conference for the fourth straight year, find themselves in first place, currently tied with Lewis & Clark and Puget Sound. The Bruins will look to avenge that loss when they take on the Pioneers before a packed Bruin Madness crowd in Miller Gymnasium on Feb. 5. To purchase tickets for this key game, and for the Bruin Madness Indoor Tailgate Party taking place before the game, click here.
