George Fox University | Academic Resource Center | Writing Services | Writing Services
The Academic Resource Center is a place where students can sit down with a trained consultant to discuss a piece of writing. Through that discussion, students will discover ways to improve particular texts and also the means through which they might improve any text they write.
It is not an editing lab, where students drop off papers to have grammar and spelling checked and fixed. Who can use the Academic Resource Center? All George Fox students - undergraduate, graduate, degree-completion, full-time, or part-time students - are welcome to use the Academic Resource Center.Scheduling an AppointmentTo schedule an appointment call ext. 2327, e-mail the_arc@georgefox.edu, or stop by the ARC (go to the Office of Student Life in the Stevens Center).Appointments are generally 25 minutes long but can be adjusted to fit a student's needs. Drop-in help is available on a limited basis - and only when a peer consultant has no scheduled appointments.
