Going to a conference is a great way to present your own carefully crafted writing to other people who share your interests. Conferences are also encouraging and inspiring and are a way to hear what other people are thinking about. Northwest Undergraduate Conference on Literature
This one is fairly easy to get into and is at the University of Portland; it is a great opportunity to get to a literature conference without traveling too far.
