* Bruins Equal Last Year's Total for Wins:

With their 85-76 win over Northwest Christian on Tuesday, the 2002-03 George Fox Bruins have already equaled last year's total of wins. In 2001-02, the Bruins finished with a 3-22 record, but picked up two forfeit wins at the end of the season from Cascade for using an ineligible player for a final 5-20 slate.

* Bruins Out to Break Conference Losing Streak:

With Saturday's loss to Pacific, the George Fox Bruins have not won in their last 23 Northwest Conference games. The Bruins' last win in league play was Feb. 3, 2001, a 94-84 win in Newberg over Pacific Lutheran. The Bruins dropped their final 4 of that season, then went 0-16 in NWC play last year. The Bruins hope to break that string this week with games at Lewis & Clark Tuesday (Jan. 14) and at home vs. Puget Sound Friday (Jan. 17) and Pacific Lutheran (Jan. 18).
