COACH MARK SUNDQUIST (Seattle Pacific '89) is 20-52 (.286) through Feb. 17 in his 3rd season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. Against this week's opponents, he is 0-5 vs. Linfield (0-2 in Newberg, 0-3 in McMinnville), and 1-4 vs. Willamette (1-1 in Newberg, 0-3 in Salem).

* Kenny Macy Honorable Mention for NWC Player of the Week:
Kenny Macy (Sr., W, Culver, Ore.) had two of the finest games of his career for the Bruins last week, earning Honorable Mention for Northwest Conference "Player of the Week" honors for Feb. 10-16. In a 90-72 loss at Puget Sound, he scored a team-high 13 points, hitting 4-6 from the field (2-4 on 3's) and 3-4 at the line, with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. In a 95-76 loss at Pacific Lutheran, he had 14 points on 4-7 from the field (1-3 on 3's) and 5-8 from the line, with 2 rebounds and 5 assists. For the week, he scored 27 points (13.5), hitting 8-13 from the field (3-7 on 3's) and 8-12 (.667) from the line, with 4 rebounds and 7 assists.
NWC "Player of the Week" honors went to Marques Johnson of Willamette, who had 35 points, 26 rebounds, and 3 blocks as the Bearcats went 2-0 to remain on the heels of Whitworth in the NWC race.

Mike "Biggs" Wirta, George Fox's statistical guru, is now in his 32nd season of keeping Bruin statistics. He has been courtside for 494 straight Bruin men's basketball games, home and away, and has also worked 392 straight home games. The last home game he missed was in 1972. Altogether, he has seen 924 George Fox men's basketball games. He watched his 900th Bruin men's basketball on Feb. 15, 2002,when George Fox hosted Whitman as a part of Homecoming weekend, and was presented with a special engraved souvenir basketball at halftime by director of athletics Craig Taylor. "Biggs" says that he anticipates seeing his 1,000th George Fox game some time late in the 2005-06 season.
