COACH STEVE GRANT
Steve Grant (Biola '69) is 524-335 (.610) in his 26th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He entered this season ranked 9th in victories among all-time active D-III coaches. He was Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 1998, NAIA District 2 Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1990, and NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1987 when his teams won NCCAA national championships. * Anderson Honorable Mention for NWC Player of the Week Again
For the second week in a row, senior middle blocker Elizabeth Anderson received honorable mention for Northwest Conference Player of the Week for Sept. 17-23 as the Bruins went 1-1. In a 3-0 loss to Pacific Lutheran Friday, she had 9 kills, a .250 hitting pct., 5 digs, and 2 block assists. In a 3-2 win at Lewis & Clark Saturday, she had 16 kills, a .167 hitting pct., 1 ace, 6 digs, and 5 blocks (2-3). For the week, she had 25 kills (3.13 kpg) and 11 errors in 72 attempts (.194), 1 ace, 11 digs, and 7 blocks (2-5). Anderson ranks 2nd in the NWC in blocks (1.13).
