The Wildcats have won the last three meetings, including both last year (3-2 in Newberg, 3-0 in McMinnville) ... GFU's last win in the series was 3-0 in Newberg on Oct. 7, 2005 ... COACH STEVE GRANT

Steve Grant (Biola '69) is 525-336 (.610) in his 26th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He entered this season ranked 9th in victories among all-time active D-III coaches. He was Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 1998, NAIA District 2 Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1990, and NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1987 when his teams won NCCAA national championships. * Anderson HM for NWC Player of the Week Third Week in a Row

Continuing her fine senor season, middle blocker Elizabeth Anderson received honorable mention for Northwest Conference Player of the Week for Sept. 24-30, the third straight week she has been so honored. In a 3-0 loss at Pacific Wednesday, she had 8 kills, a .294 hitting pct., 2 aces, 3 digs, and 3 block assists. In a 3-2 win over Willamette Friday, she had 19 kills, a .283 hitting pct., 1 assist, 7 digs, and 6 blocks (2-4). For the week, she had 27 kills (3.38 kpg) and 9 errors in 63 attempts (.286), 1 assist, 2 aces, 10 digs, and 9 blocks (2-7). Anderson ranks 2nd in the NWC in blocks (1.13).
