COACH STEVE GRANT
Steve Grant (Biola '69) is 526-339 (.608) in his 26th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He entered this season ranked 9th in victories among all-time active D-III coaches. He was Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 1998, NAIA District 2 Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1990, and NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1987 when his teams won NCCAA national championships. * Anderson HM for NWC Player of the Week Fifth Week in a Row
For the fifth consecutive week, senior middle blocker Elizabeth Anderson received honorable mention for Northwest Conference Player of the Week for Oct. 8-14. In a 3-2 loss to Whitman on Oct. 12, she had 14 kills, a .364 hitting pct., 3 aces, 9 digs, and 14 blocks (5 solo, 9 assists), tying her own personal high in blocks. In a 3-1 win over Whitworth on Oct. 13, she had 16 kills, a .308 hitting pct., 2 aces, 5 digs, and 6 blocks (1-5). For the week, she had 30 kills (3.33 kpg) and 6 errors in 72 attempts (.333), 5 aces, 14 digs, and 20 blocks (6-14). Anderson leads the NWC in blocks (1.34).
