COACH STEVE GRANT
Steve Grant (Biola '69) is 526-341 (.607) in his 26th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He entered this season ranked 9th in victories among all-time active D-III coaches. He was Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 1998, NAIA District 2 Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1990, and NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 1984 and 1987 when his teams won NCCAA national championships. * Anderson HM for NWC Player of the Week for Sixth Time
For the sixth consecutive week, senior middle blocker Elizabeth Anderson received honorable mention for Northwest Conference Player of the Week for Oct. 15-21. In a 3-0 loss at #15 Pacific Lutheran on Oct. 19, she had 7 kills, 2 assists, a dig and 3 blocks (1 solo, 2 assists). In a 3-1 setback to Lewis & Clark on Oct. 20, she had 19 kills, a .311 hitting pct., 5 digs and 4 blocks (1 solo, 3 assists). For the week, she had 26 kills (3.71 kpg) and 12 errors in 75 attempts (.187), 2 assists, 6 digs, and 7 blocks (2-5). Anderson ranks 2nd in the NWC in blocks (1.31).

- Elizabeth Anderson, with 101 blocks on the season, has boosted her career total to 408, moving past Shelly Schultens (405, 1999-2002) for 3rd on the all-time GFU list. Ahead is Beth Davis (417, 1996-99), while Kim Reidel (481, 1988-89) is the all-time leader. Reidel's blocks were posted under different scoring rules, during an era when blocks were given not just for a winning piint, but any time an attack was returned and kept in play by a blocker ... With 243 kills on the season, she has 917 in her career, 8th on the all-time list. Ahead is Nicole Bostic (1,042, 2000-03) ...
