NORTHWEST CONFERENCE: George Fox (7-5) made it 2 straight NWC wins Saturday vs. Pacific and remained tied for 3rd in the league standings. COACH SCOTT RUECK (Oregon State '91) has a record of 122-44 (.735) through Jan. 13 in his 7th season as a head coach, all at George Fox. He notched his 100th career win last season when the Bruins defeated Northwest 78-68 on Dec. 1 in the PLU Parkland Chevrolet Classic in Tacoma, Wash. He was Northwest Conference "Coach of the Year" in 1999-2000 and "Co-Coach of the Year" in 2000-01. Against this week's opponents, he is 12-0 vs. Lewis & Clark (6-0 in Newberg, 6-0 in Portland), 8-5 vs. Puget Sound (6-0 in Newberg, 2-5 in Tacoma), and 7-7 vs. Pacific Lutheran (5-2 in Newberg, 2-5 in Tacoma).

* Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2003 to be Honored at Halftime on Jan. 18

NEWBERG, Ore. - With athletes coming from such far-flung places as Switzerland, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii, George Fox University will honor its Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2003 with induction ceremonies on Saturday, January 18, including a halftime presentation during the men's basketball game vs. Pacific Lutheran.

The George Fox Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2003 consists of Dave McDonald (Track 1968-72), Chad Neeley (Track 1974-78), Miguel Rivera (Baseball 1988-91), Dieter Munstermann (Soccer 1991-93), Jamie Suehiro (Volleyball 1991-93), Pat Casey (Baseball Coach 1988-94), Don Millage (Meritorious Service), and the 1993 men's soccer team.

The eighth annual Sports Hall of Fame events begin with a reception in the Klages Dining Room of the Heacock Commons on the Newberg campus at 3:30 p.m. Dinner starts at 4:00 p.m., followed by the induction of the Class of 2003. The honored athletes will also be introduced at halftime of the men's game vs. PLU, which starts at 8:00 p.m.
