COACH SCOTT RUECK (Oregon State '91) has a record of 136-51 (.727) in his 8th season as a head coach, all at George Fox. He was Northwest Conference "Coach of the Year" in 1999-2000 and "Co-Coach of the Year" in 2000-01. He and his wife Kerry, a GFU assistant coach and former Bruin player, became proud parents on Oct. 21 with the birth of their first child, son Cole Michael.

* Clark Honorable Mention for NWC "Player of the Week"
Liz Clark (Jr., Elbe, Wash. / Eatonville HS) led the Bruins to victory in their only game of the week, a 72-57 home win over Concordia-Portland on Dec. 30, with a double-double, earning Honorable Mention for Northwest Conference "Player of the Week" for Dec. 26-Jan. 4. She had 15 points, hitting 7-10 from the field (1-2 on 3's), with 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. It was her 2nd double-double of the season and 6th of her career. After missing the first two games of the season due to a sprained ankle, she finally qualified for NWC stats by playing in 75% of the Bruins' games with her Concordia appearance, and ranks 2nd in the league in rebounding (9.5).
NWC "Player of the Week" honors went to Sarah Shogren of Whitworth, who had 42 points, 32 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals in the Pirates' 2-0 week.
