COACH SCOTT RUECK (Oregon State '91) has a record of 139-56 (.713) in his 8th season as a head coach, all at George Fox. He was Northwest Conference "Coach of the Year" in 1999-2000 and "Co-Coach of the Year" in 2000-01. This year, he is serving as a rater for the NCAA Division III national poll conducted by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. He and his wife Kerry, a GFU assistant coach and former Bruin player, became proud parents on Oct. 21 with the birth of their first child, son Cole Michael.

* Leith Honorable Mention for NWC "Player of the Week":
Kim Leith was the Bruins' leading scorer in both games this week, earning Honorable Mention for Northwest Conference "Player of the Week" for Jan. 26-Feb. 1. In a 78-71 loss to Whitworth on Friday, she scored 20 points, tying a career high, by hitting 7-15 from the field (4-9 on 3's) and 2-2 from the line, with 4 rebounds and 1 steal. In a 48-47 loss to Whitman on Saturday, she had 10 points on 4-11 from the field (2-5 on 3's), with 1 rebound. For the week, in 2 games, she had 30 points (15.0), hitting 11-26 (.423) from the field (6-14 on 3's, .429) and 2-2 (1.000) from the line, with 5 rebounds (2.5) and 1 steal. Leith is among the league leaders in 3-pointers and 3-point field goal pct.
