Kellie Thomas led the Bruins to a 2-0 record with two big scoring games, including a career high, earning Honorable Mention for Northwest Conference "Player of the Week" for Nov. 6-12. In an 83-52 win over Western Baptist on Thursday, she scored 23 points, including 18 in the first half, by hitting 5-13 from the field (4-8 on 3's) and 9-9 from the line, with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. In a 59-43 win over Cascade on Saturday, she had a career-high 25 points in just 19 minutes on 7-13 from the field (6-8 on 3's) and 5-6 from the line, with 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block, and 2 steals. She scored the Bruins' first 10 points of the game, and came within one of tying the Bruin record for 3-pointers in a game.
