Scott Rueck (Oregon State '91) is 180-71 (.717) to date in his 10th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He was named Northwest Conference Coach of the Year for the third time in 2004-05 after leading the Bruins to the NWC title and the "Elite 8" of the NCAA National Tournament. Sophomore point guard Tiffany Behary was the Bruins' steadiest performer during a shaky 0-2 week, receiving honorable mention for Northwest Conference Player of the Week for Jan. 23-29. In a 66-57 setback at Whitworth, she scored 11 points on 4-8 from the field (3-7 on threes), with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a blocked shot. In a 62-58 loss at Whitman, she had 12 points on 5-8 from the field (2-3 on threes) and 0-2 from the line, with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. For the week, she totaled 23 points (11.5 ppg) on 9-16 (.563) from the field, including 5-10 (.500) from three-point range, and 0-2 (.00) from the line, with 9 rebounds (4.5 rpg), 5 steals (2.5 spg), and 1 blocked shot.

* National Polls: Bruins Tumble in Rankings after Pair of Setbacks
Back-to-back road losses at Whitworth and Whitman sent George Fox (15-4) tumbling in the national rankings. In the USA Today/ESPN/Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll of Jan. 31, the Bruins fell from 10th to 21st with 44 points. In the D3hoops.com poll, the Bruins dropped from 14th out of the top 25, but picked up 51 points to rank 2nd among "others receiving votes". Southern Maine (18-1) remained No. 1 in both polls. Pacific Lutheran (16-2 before Tuesday's loss to Puget Sound) is the only other Northwest Conference team ranked, 16th in the WBCA poll and 18th by D3hoops. Com. Puget Sound received 16 points, 7th among "others receiving votes" in the D3hoops.com poll.
