Scott Rueck (Oregon State '91) is 182-72 (.717) to date in his 10th season as a college head coach, all at George Fox. He was named Northwest Conference Coach of the Year for the third time in 2004-05 after leading the Bruins to the NWC title and the "Elite 8" of the NCAA National Tournament. After splitting their Homecoming weekend games, losing to Puget Sound 59-44 before defeating Pacific 74-65, George Fox (16-5) dropped out of one national poll but remained in the other. In the USA Today/ESPN/Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll of Feb. 7, the Bruins remained 21st with 35 points, while they were not listed at all in the D3hoops.com poll. Among other NWC teams, Puget Sound was 20th and Pacific Lutheran 21st in the D3hoops.com poll, while PLU was 18th and UPS was the top vote-getter among "others receiving votes" in the WBCA poll. Southern Maine remained the 1st nationally in both polls.
