Assistant Coach

Erica Ewart, a former Whitworth College standout and 2001-02 Northwest Conference "Player of the Year", brings a thorough knowledge of the game to the George Fox women's basketball program in her second year as an assistant coach.

A native of Connell, Wash., and a graduate of Connell High, she played one year of women's basketball at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, before transferring to Whitworth. She finished her three-year career there as the Pirates' all-time leader in three-point field goals, capping it off with her NWC "Player of the Year" award while leading the team to the NCAA Tournament.

Ewart graduated from Whitworth in 2002 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She spent a year working with the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program in Spokane, Wash., under the auspices of the AmeriCorp progam, and coached the junior varsity program at her alma mater. She is pursuing a master's degree in counseling at George Fox, with no future plans firmly fixed, although she admits to a love of coaching. She is single and lives in Tualatin, Ore.
