Results

McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Freshman Brittany Zefkeles carded a 43-43=86 to finish in fourth place, only three shots off the pace, leading the George Fox University Bruins to third place in the Linfield College Invitational women's golf tournament Friday afternoon here at the Michelbook Country Club.

As a team, the Bruins shot a four-player score of 361, trailing Pacific University at 348 by only 13 strokes and host Linfield at 359 by a mere two. Willamette University shot a 446, while Corban College, Northwest Christian College, and Lewis & Clark College recorded incompletes.

Contributing to the Bruins' total were Whitney Clunes with a 46-43=89 (8th), Mandy Cameron with a 50-41=91 (10th), and Christine Collier with a 51-44=95 (12th). With the team's other two players, Nicole Hudson (48-49=97) and Brianna Nap (54-43=97) tying for 14th, it was the first time the second-year program has had entire team has finish in the top 15 of a tournament.
