Kirsten Cardwell pulled George Fox within a goal in the 58th minute when she dribbled around a defender and lofted a shot over Pirate keeper Krista Dietz for her sixth goal of the season. Greta Thibodeau quickly rebuilt a two-goal advantage for the Pirates, however, scoring from the right side in the 62nd minutes after taking control of the ball from several Bruin defenders who were trying to clear a corner kick. Plumb closed out the scoring with her second goal of the match and eighth of the season in the 64th minute when she took a pass from Crowe and fired a shot just inside the right post.
