* Polls: Bruins Drop Out of Top 10 in D-III West Region Rankings
For the first time in five weeks, the George Fox Bruins are not ranked in the top 10 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas NCAA Division III West Region rankings of Oct. 23 after going 0-2 on their eastern Washington trip. The Bruins had risen as high as 6th in the West Region before slipping back.

* Bruins Take Aim at Best Season Under Hetherington
After five years of rebuilding a foundation for the Bruin women's program, coach Andy Hetherington's efforts appear ready to pay off. Despite a pair of setback on their eastern Washington trip last weekened, the Bruins are 9-6-1, tying the record for the most wins in any of their previous five season under Hetherington (the 2004 team went 9-11). The Bruins also need only one more win to guarantee the first winning season for Hetherington and their first winning season since the 2000 team went 13-5, the next-to-last season under the first coach in Bruin women's history, Byron Shenk.
* Career Lists: Cardwell Sets Shutouts Record with 17th in 0-0 Tie
- Jessica Cardwell set the George Fox career record for goalkeeper shutouts when she posted her 17th in the Bruins' 0-0 double-overtime tie at Willamette on Oct. 11. She had been tied at 16 with Meghan Gibson, who had that many in a two-year career (1997-98).
- Amber Stevens had an assist on the game-winning goal in the Bruins' 3-2 win over Pacific Lutheran on Oct. 14, bringing her career totals to 12 assists and 56 points. She is tied for 3rd in assists with Kiersten Luginbill (2003-04), Beth Kahut (1994, 96-98), Sarah BBowder (1995-98), and Staci Morris (1994-97), and is 4th all-time in points. She is also 4th in career goals with 22 ...
