Jim Cross Biography Continued

Continued from School of Business Spring Speaker Series:

Jim moved on to Intel’s global supply chain management organization in 2000 where he managed global supply chain strategy and negotiations for Information Technology Hardware, Software, and Services.   Jim worked as a Global Sourcing Manager for the next six years, managing Intel spends across multiple areas of business, including Medical and Financial Benefits, Legal Services, Contingent Workforce, and Information Technology. 
 
In 2006 Jim became a Contract and Negotiations manager for Intel.  In this role, Jim was responsible for managing the strategy, negotiation team  engagement, and closure of strategic contracts with Intel suppliers.  He also served as Contract Policy Manager for Intel Materials, managing a team responsible for global legal term compliance, education, and guidance. 
 
Jim received his BS from Portland State University and is also a proud graduate of the George Fox University MBA program.    He is a Certified Purchasing Manager through the Institute for Supply Management and also is a Certified Supply Chain Professional and a Certified Production and Inventory Manager through the Association for Operations Management.  Jim currently serves as the Director of Student Chapters for APICS Portland and has been a member of George Fox’s MBA advisory Board since 2009.
