Mohan Nair Biography Continued

Continued from School of Business Summer Speaker Series:

Prior to his current position, Mohan lead the front end of the organization as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Executive leading marketing, product management, brand management, e-business, e-portals, business development and was Chairman of the Board of Regence Life and Health, a subsidiary.


Mohan joined Regence bringing 25 years of c-level leadership in two emerging startups that were acquired, as well as operational roles in two established international businesses, Intel and Mentor Graphics Corporation.

As adjunct professor of business with the Kellogg School of Management, Mohan teaches executive courses in supply-chain management and cost and performance management. He has authored two books titled “An Executive’s Guide to Activity-based Management Systems” and “Essentials of Balanced Scorecard” (Wiley and Sons).   His upcoming book titled “Strategic Business Transformation” will be released in 2011.

Mohan has served the nation in several capacities: as a member of the Armed Services Interest Group on Cost and Performance Management; as a member of the Government’s Committee on Performance and Accountability for the State of Oregon and he has been called by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to serve on the Chronic Care Workgroup.

Mohan is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Independent College Foundation, a member of the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association and a board member for the Big Brother Big Sister Association.

Mohan holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and business, and a master's degree in computer and information sciences from the University of Oregon. He has accreditation for advanced management college with Stanford University.
