George Fox University’s School of Business MBA program develops leaders to be servants for the world. This development transpires through course work, discussions, minor assignments, and major projects about people and organizations, communication, ethics, and social responsibility. The program emphasizes the development of people skills accompanied by analytical capabilities. The result is a leader who is professionally competent, ethically grounded, globally engaged, socially responsible and serves as a leader in our dynamic world.

Twice each year these servant-leaders share their perspectives on critical topics as part of their capstone course, Transformational Leadership. This course explores historic and contemporary leadership theories and models from which a greater understanding of people, organizations, and the world emerges. Particular emphasis is given to evaluating leadership theories from a values perspective, determining ways they can be applied to the most current developments in organizational change strategies. Using this knowledge, students are presented with ways in which leadership can be conceptualized and applied to today’s increasingly complex organizations. The Leadership Symposium provides students a communication platform to convey to industry practitioners and academic scholars their understanding and solutions to the most pressing management and leadership issues, concerns, and topics of our time.
