Amber joined the School of Business in 2007 as MBA director after recruiting for graduate programs for several years. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, working as a customer relations coordinator for MedicaLogic, as a pharmaceutical representative, as director of marketing and advertising for Courtyard properties, and as the assistant marketing director for Nel-Tech Development. She also founded a business designed to celebrate special events. She served on the board of directors for the Community Higher Education Coalition (CHEC) from 2003 through 2006. Amber earned a master of science degree from Oregon State University.
The Russell family, including two sons, enjoy adventure travel. Amber and her husband have discovered that their best communication occurs while kayaking, which is how they end most days.
Amber strives to serve students and faculty in a way that honors Christ.
