The French minor is designed to enable students to acquire an intermediate high to advanced proficiency in French in all four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Students are required to spend one semester abroad to complete the French minor, gaining cross-cultural experience and literacy in the process.
Students must demonstrate proficiency in French 202 Intermediate French II (4) (or placement exam) prior to entry into the French minor.
