History Major (BA)
The history major offers a 36-semester-hour course of study . Students are required to obtain a minimum grade of C- in all courses taken for the major.
Major Requirements (36 hours)
HIST 290 Introduction to Historical Studies (3)
HIST 490 History Seminar (3)
Students must choose one of the following courses:
HIST 110 Western Civilization to 1648 (3)
HIST 120 Western Civilization from 1648 (3)
Students must choose one of the following courses:
HIST 151 United States to 1865 (3)
HIST 152 United States from 1865 (3)
Students must choose 24 additional semester hours of history (HIST) courses, 21 of which must be upper-division.
