HEBR 201, 202 Introduction to Biblical Hebrew4 hours each semester. The language of ancient Israel as preserved in the Hebrew Bible is encountered inductively through the study of the text of Esther. Mastery of basic vocabulary, grammar, and syntax of narrative Hebrew prose is the goal of this two-semester sequence. The second semester may be applied as biblical studies major credit.
HEBR 295/495 Special Study
1-4 hours. Individual study under the guidance of a faculty member, as determined by student needs and faculty availability. Students must have permission of the faculty member to enroll.
