Japanese
JPNS 101, 102 First-Year Japanese3 hours each semester. A study of the structures of the Japanese language, with practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The culture of Japan is presented as an integral component of language study.
JPNS 201, 202 Second-Year Japanese
3 hours each semester. A thorough review of Japanese language structures, with intensive practice in reading, speaking, and writing. Language lab listening and interaction are required.
Prerequisite: JPNS 102 First-Year Japanese II or two years of high school Japanese or by testing.
