Applied Science Major

Interested in the fields of chemical or aerospace engineering? George Fox University’s applied science major gives you a jump-start to a career in these and other engineering fields.
Our dual-degree 3/2 program allows you to pursue engineering in a discipline other than those we currently offer. You attend George Fox for three years, taking most of our general education, mathematics, science and lower-division engineering courses, before transferring to an engineering school to complete your engineering degree.
Once you complete the five-year program, you will receive two bachelor of science degrees: a degree in applied science from George Fox University after your fourth year, and a degree in engineering from the cooperating engineering school after your fifth year.
Among the classes you can take in the program:
- Electronic devices and circuits
- Engineering thermodynamics
- Principles of materials science
- Electric circuit analysis
- Mechanics of materials
