Do you enjoy the written word? Do you wish to explore great literature? Perhaps you wish to teach literature in the future. If so, George Fox’s literature minor is an ideal way to supplement your major of choice.

The 18-credit-hour literature minor allows you to customize your course of study, as you get to choose your six semester hours of writing or literature course work and nine additional hours of advanced literature course work.

All students in the minor take an introductory course that introduces important concepts in the study of literature. You will learn techniques in close reading, and will read, discuss and produce written analyses of a variety of literary texts in order to better understand historical, political, cultural and formalistic aspects of literary works.
